Plancks Panel is a new design tool I am currently developing in CATIA for Columbia Building Intelligence Project.  Plancks Panel offers a simple and logical work-flow for users to freely sculpt a wide range of facades, stairs, and floor plates with automatic information outputs for material use and light. The interface makes it easy for architects to create organic forms while receiving instant technical information on the impact of their designs.  This image represents some of its capabilities.

WEEK 2:

This is my CBIP studio presentation from last Friday. Our assignment was to develop a facade element that responds to attractor points (using CATIA), and array the module to cover a parking garage…this one is entitled “Lonely Canoe in the Desert”.

Our first assignment using CATIA…make a parametric chair!
